Central Coast Baseball Association is currently in its 52nd year of existence. The Central Coast has quite a unique baseball culture with competitions in both the winter and summer months. With currently over 500 junior and 600 senior players, through regular promotion, the numbers are continuing to grow.

Boy grows up watching his older brothers play baseball and picks up the game himself. He does well, but try as he might, he just can't seem to make it to the next level. Then, as if by luck, he's discovered and becomes a standout.

Winter Baseball - Round 5 Match Report

Roos remain undefeated with a 7-6 win against Dodgers on Saturday. In the other match Magpies were far too good for the Wolves who are yet to get a win, Magpies 18 def Wolves 3.

This sees the competition table with Lions 7, Roos 6, Magpies 5, Dodgers 2 and Wolves 0.

Four Central Coast players are part of the Australian Provincial side which heads off for Japan this week.  Geoff Brotherton from Dodgers, Mick Ashton and Nathan Walbancke from Lions and Adam Howe from Magpies will be key players in the squad. They will play three games in Guam and then head off to Japan for three weeks where they will play against University, Industrial League and Independent League sides in the cities of Morioko, Niigatta and Yokohama.
